Brief
A recent literacy survey carried out in Malaysia showed that Malaysians were not reading enough. Even when they did pick up a book to read, they stopped after only a few pages. As a result of this lack of interest, book sales also reached an all-time low. BookXcess wanted to get Malaysians to read more and eventually, to increase sales.

Solution
A Message Alert Bookmark with a reminder SMS, was introduced to prompt customers to continue reading.How it works:An Arduino Micro Board was programmed into a motion sensor, with a SIM card attached to it. These were inserted into the bookmark. When the customer purchased a book, he was then handed this special bookmark. Should the book be left untouched for 7 days, the motion sensor will be activated and a personalised reminder SMS sent to the customer via the SIM card, to remind him to continue reading.
